Calliope have been one of the very first italian prog bands, at the beginning of 90's, that helped to get back attention to italian prog rock scene. The music of the band, influenced by Genesis and Yes, has a very peculiar sound, based on "classical" italian melodic lines. Their first productions, recorded at Electromantic Synergy Studio and produced by Beppe Crovella were on Vinyl Magic label.
